In January 2024, Gambaryan, accompanied by colleagues from Binance, traveled to Nigeria for a conference with government authorities to discuss financial regulations. Nonetheless, Richard Teng, the CEO of Binance, alleges that a Nigerian official attempted to pressure the representatives of the crypto exchange into a clandestine bribery arrangement. This arrangement was purportedly intended to settle the allegations leveled against Binance by the Nigerian government.
