World of Women, in collaboration with Tezos, is working towards promoting gender equality within the Web3 space. By partnering with Tezos, WoW aims to expand its reach and empower women by providing support and opportunities for them.

Kathleen Breitman, a renowned figure in the blockchain industry and co-founder of Tezos, believes that Tezos’ advanced technology and vast network can enhance WoW’s impact in promoting gender parity.

Despite women constituting 37% of cryptocurrency holders, they only make up 27% of the web3 workforce and 13% of startup founding teams, as reported by the Boston Consulting Group. This underrepresentation and funding disparity highlight the challenges women face in securing recognition and support in the tech and finance sectors.

Shannon Snow, World of Women’s COO, acknowledges the immense potential and contributions of women in web3. WoW aims to unite women across web3 and provide opportunities for them to make a significant impact in art, tech, and culture.

In addition to WoW and Tezos’ efforts, initiatives like Bitget’s “Blockchain4Her” are also emerging to support female-led businesses in the blockchain industry. Bitget’s $10 million fund aims to provide financial support to female entrepreneurs and address gender disparities in the VC ecosystem.

The report released by Bitget on blockchain funding trends highlights the prevailing gender bias in the market. Female-led web3 firms received significantly less funding compared to their male counterparts, affecting the overall adoption of crypto in female-related fields in traditional finance.

Diversity in crypto is crucial for fostering innovation and resilience. By promoting gender equality and supporting women in the web3 space, initiatives like WoW, Tezos, and Blockchain4Her are paving the way for a more inclusive and diverse crypto ecosystem.
