Argentinian regulators have engaged in discussions with authorities in El Salvador regarding the adoption of Bitcoin. The National Securities Commission of Argentina (CNV) confirmed that high-ranking officials from both countries met to evaluate potential cooperation agreements on digital assets-related issues. The CNV officials visited El Salvador to learn about the government’s regulation of Bitcoin, with the aim of implementing similar measures in Argentina. The President of the CNV, Roberto Silva, praised El Salvador for its experience in adopting Bitcoin as legal tender and expressed the desire to learn from their success. The Vice President of the CNV, Patricia Boedo, also visited El Salvador earlier this year for preliminary technical meetings. The collaboration between Argentina and El Salvador in the field of Bitcoin regulation is seen as a positive development for the Bitcoin community, particularly in Argentina, which has faced pressure from the IMF to impose stricter regulations on cryptocurrencies. However, the growing relationship between the two countries may lead to more friendly and flexible regulations in Argentina.
