Gracy Chen has been appointed as the new CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Bitget, succeeding Sandra Lou, who is leaving to pursue other business ventures. Prior to her promotion, Chen served as the managing director of Bitget, where she was responsible for overseeing the company’s market expansion, business strategy, and corporate development. Under her leadership, Bitget’s user base has grown fourfold, making it one of the top five crypto exchanges in terms of crypto derivatives trading volumes. Chen expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead Bitget and highlighted the platform’s transformation into a leading crypto platform. She also emphasized Bitget’s commitment to innovation and value creation for its 25 million users. Chen sees her role as an opportunity to shape the future of digital finance and looks forward to leading the company’s global expansion. Bitget praised Chen’s promotion, highlighting her 10+ years of experience in business, marketing, and investment. In a recent podcast, Chen expressed her belief that Bitcoin’s price will continue to rise, stating that we are currently in a bull market. She noted that Bitcoin’s price has doubled since October 2023 and attributed this growth to factors beyond just the cryptocurrency itself, such as the recent halving event.
